This note is to wish you a happy and healthy New Year – a year of peace across the globe and all those things we hope for when we say or sing the Aleinu.

We have been blessed with Rabbi Shohama Weiner as our spiritual leader. Anyone who has attended a service with her can attest to her charm, and inspirational nature.

In order to achieve our goal of retaining the Rabbi, for two Friday Shabbats or other events, plus leading our High Holy Day services we have had to update our membership dues. They are as follows;

Family Membership: $400 per calendar year. Includes two adults with or without children.

Single Membership: $200 per calendar year. Includes one adult with or without children.

For the occasional visitor, any contribution will be greatly appreciated. We will continue our open door policy and never turn anyone away. As always we will not sell tickets for the High Holy Days– all are welcome. If you need to discuss an alternative financial arrangement, please call Steve Slotnik at 718-931-0382. All discussions of a financial nature will be kept confidential.

Though we will be accepting membership contributions on an ongoing basis, we hope to accomplish our membership drive by the end of January 2012. Please note that only members in good standing have the opportunity to vote in our annual elections this September (Thursday, 9/15).

We hope that sharing prayer, Torah study, and ritual with us will nourish your soul and deepen your Jewish spiritual connection.
