RabbiÕs Message

Dear Shul Family,

As the weather turns a little cooler, we turn to thoughts of our New Year at our shul.
We will gather to join in prayer that this coming year brings goodness, healing, and
peace to all.

Our Holiday season begins on Friday, September 19th, at 7:30 pm, with a Shabbat
service that has a Selichot (High Holiday) theme.  At this Service we will officially
welcome our new Rabbinic Student Intern, Molly Karp. Molly is a great addition
to our Rabbinic staff, with years of experience in Jewish education and leadership.

As always, our beautiful High Holiday services are FREE and open to the public.
I encourage you to reach out to your neighbors and friends who donÕt have a
synagogue to attend. Invite them to our joyful services. Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh-
each Jew is connected to the other.  ItÕs a mitzvah to build Jewish community.

Cantor Elaine Faver returns once again to inspire us at all. Molly and I will be leading
different Services; check the schedule for particulars. Please note that the Childrens'
Service has been moved to 7 pm on the Second Eve of Rosh HaShanah.

Hope to see you soon!

Love and blessings,

Rabbi Shohama
